yeah, Ron Paul is alright, but some of of his ideas are too ahead of their time.

But I pick up a real sense of honesty from him, and savvy, that I just don't quite get from the others...

Huckabee may play bass and know Keith Richards (met him), but I'd argue with Huckabee on several of his platforms.

Romney I think, is the most dangerous man in the soup... thank goodness McCain is rolling over him, at least the last time I checked...

I have a feeling the Republicans may somehow win this one, though it may go to Hillary... the token consession from the petro-conglomo-monopos to the prols;

again the unquenchable American longing to maintain the status quo, the idealized past that will not die...
on that sentiment Hillary can cash in.
As the soup thickens to mush, it seems all the front-runners are more or less throw-backs to rosier days...

even Obama is a sort of ersatz JFK.

Better that than Pastor Murray in Reagan's clothing. (Romney is scaring me!)

(that's my Pop in the 3rd attat. with Luria Castell, she's best known not for her politics, instead for co-founding the Family Dog with Chet Helms)

You are right about that. A shame that "being a head of your time" doesn't meet the qualifications for pres. Then again the democrats threw a guy to the curb the last time around for screaming the names of states.
